and aged in 2- to 5-year-old French oak barriques for 12 months and left on full lees prior to bottling in September 2019
vin-de-soif style of Sangiovese that we should see more of
with lovely zesty fruit and varietal character
Excellent food wine at a cracking price for the quality
just bags of juicy red fruits and a nice herbal tinge
Fiano 2023, Ravensworth, NSW Sparkling and aged in 2- toA family affair since 2001, with "what seemed like a good idea at the time", Bryan & Jocelyn Martin teaming up with Bryans brother David, to farm a cornucopia of classic and alternative varieties in a wild and wonderful vineyard in Murrumbateman, just north of Canberra. This is a racy, whacky blend of Fiano and Trebbiano with a few hours skin contact and aging in old oak. Think lemon, gooseberry, white peach and some complex almond skin edges.
