The One Ring I think most people would have assumed this card to be number one, and believe me I did consider it, but the number one spot has had a huge impact on the format but the margins are very close
you need your instants and sorceries to be cheap, because a cantripping Slime Against Humanity just isnt worth four or five mana, and conversely, since youre actually casting two spells, a single cost-reducer actually saves you two mana instead of just one
However, there are some budget-friendly changes that can be made to the deck to make it stronger

You wouldn't necessarily know that from the first step of your gameplan though: you begin by amassing a token army
Its unlikely that Coercive Recruiter will be triggering off other Pirates in the average Cube, though its worth noting that the ability checks on a Pirate entering the battlefield, not on casting a Pirate spell, which means that cloning Coercive Recruiter will give you two Threatens
