It is a soft pastel one-piece dress
Crimping a fringe is a bold move because as this photo proves it just won't sit down, giving a kind of "glamorous but windswept" (and slightly crazed) vibe
Fit: I found this dress slightly too big for me around the waist, it felt like there was a little too much fabric in that area, but it was very comfortable and easy to get into
The seams of course stayed a neutral colour and at first it didn't bother me, but then I decided to add a little bit of embroidery to cover up the worst parts, and then things escalated and I've ended up adding more and more embroidery every year since
For so many of us, this woman has helped shape the way we look at love and heartbreak
Some designers experimented with metallic foil versions and even included kits for cutting and tailoring the dresses at home, but the concept never became more than a novelty
