Use some Water Pokemon in your deck because he does use Ponyta and Rapidash, which will easily knock out your Grass Pokemon

Be sure to choose ones with slots big enough for sleeved cards - it'll save you a lot of hassle

Since the tokens wont come back from a blink effect, they wont feel great to blink for more counters
