Duke of Devonshire Size:M25 Traditionally bred in many DevonA popular eating apple. Medium sized round fruit, green base becoming golden as it ripens with russet. Cream coloured flesh. Crisp and fresh straight from the tree, but if left to mature it develops a richer and more complex flavour. Raised in 1835 by Mr Wilson at Holker Hall, Lancashire, the Duke of Devonshires head gardener. Stores until March.
