Solar Dynamics advanced hammer-onsHow do you achieve your distortion? I get mine by turning up my guitars volume knob! In this etude, Ill demonstrate how you can use your volume knob to shape your sound. To add extra 'heaviness,' Ive used Drop D tuning (DADGBE), which involves tuning the lowest E string down to a D note while keeping the rest in standard tuning.
