An Egyptian Feldspar Double Plume Amulet, Late Period, ca. 664 - 332 BCE Medium - Clay Condition: Overall intact and inCarved from turquoise colored feldspar, in the form of identical double plumes with rounded tops, a rib down the center, and a flat bottom. Several gods, most notably Amen Re, wore composite crowns that included two tall falcon feathers (shuty). The wearer of a double plume amulet would have been imbued with divine dignity and majesty.
