Acer palmatum 'Skeeter's Broom' Spreading very formal lookingThis charming cultivar grows with an upright, columnar habit bearing small, deeply lobed leaves. The foliage unfolds bright red in spring, turning deep purple red in summer, changing to fire cracking scarlet red in autumn. Requires a sheltered location away from drying winds.
