Ecclesiastical silk brocade table or alter runner: C19th Europe Turkish embroidery Repeat 40cm high 1/2 dropA deep rose pink brocade silk satin runner dating from the 19th century, made for a church it was probably used as a runner for an alter. The brocade is interwoven with silver motifs arabesques and borders, interspersed with stylised roses, the centre of the panel has a fabulous sun burst.
