With hindsight, we found that the card type added a lot of words to cards (such as forcing us to specify that a spell cared about creatures, not just any spell with the subtype) with minimal gain, so we mostly stopped doing it

It also comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it already, and since it has modular, you can move its counters to another artifact creature when it dies
Overall, fusion summoning can be a chore at times, but Mudragon of the Swamp is an amazing way to work around some of the specific materials that are needed to summon these powerful monsters
