2023 Pouilly-Fumé Buisson Renard, Domaine Didier Dagueneau Riedel Glassware glowing with notes of woodFlint & Silk Taut, luminous and quietly profound, Buisson Renard is Sauvignon Blanc with real gravity. The 2023 opens in layers, ripe citrus, white peach and green apple at first, then a cooler, more stony register of wet stone, fresh herbs and that unmistakable flinty smokiness that seems to hum through the wine rather than sit on top of it. There is intensity here, but nothing showy. Instead, it feels sculpted and precise, the fruit wrapped around a
