It's responsible for many explosive starts, which is why it's often an auto-include, and (presumably) why Frank included it but no additional ramp when doing the math on his Lands count

A good example of this is Sensei's Diving Top

A 2/2 with menace, when it dies, its controller can pay one black mana to return it to its owner's hand

The Necrobloom is a perfect support piece since dredge lets you easily bring the lands that you sacrifice and mill back

He just works so well with Purphoros (and adding insult to injury, the Denizen doesnt even get a trigger from Purphoros unless you have the devotion as soon as it hits play)
