Prunus 'Shimidsu Sakura' Nut then phasing to deep green

then phasing to deep green and maroon in late summer and producing very attractive seed pods late summer to autumn

sheltered or exposed

Prunus 'Shimidsu Sakura' Nut then phasing to deep greenA very small flowering cherry with increasingly wide spreading branches, ultimately forming a vase shape, or even a completely flattened top. Flowers are pink tinted in bud opening pure white all along the branches. Glorious in spring and a truly delightful choice for an informal cottage garden. Note: because of this tree's small stature and wide spreading habit, avoid planting in positions which require clearance to walk or drive beneath.
