Carved texturing toward the bottom gives this piece a bit of interest and keeps it from slipping in your hand when in use. Made from a solid piece of Canarywood, the mill components are made of ceramic so as not to rust or corrode. Since the parts are ceramic, it could be used as a salt mill as well. The grind coarseness is adjusted by the finial at the top of the mill
