Silhouette of Two Ladies, Signed & Dated 1837. Regency with a later rectangular bevelledA silhouette of good proportions of two ladies, signed 'L. Frost', and dated '1837'. The silhouette is finely done, depicting one lady reading whilst the other holds a pair of spectacles in front of a sewing basket and pair of scissors on the table. They are both wearing ornate bonnets and have dresses with full hooped skirts. This silhouette is an exact copy of a silhouette portrait by William Wellings (1766 96) held at the V & A Museum (Accession
