It has been re-polished from a native cut to a very high standard giving it amazing sparkle and even though the culet is slightly off center the stone has been given a small table facet hiding this fact with in a mass of scintillating facets
these have little impact however as to the naked eye they just look like facet junctions
Even though the very high magnification of the photos are able to show some small black crystals at the surface on the table of this piece the stone is easily eye clean
This piece also has an absolutely amazing level of polish which is very difficult to achieve on most opals with ironstone
