Lacquered Brass Bullseye Condenser Magnifying Glass, c.1910 17th Century This work depicts a shoreA lacquered brass bullseye condenser desk magnifying glass, c. 1910. This instrument would have originally been used to direct light from a candle or lamp on to a specimen for observation, particularly when using a microscope. The instrument has a circular weighted base and a thumb screw end to the magnifier arm to help manoeuvre the condenser lens with ease. The adjustable stem extends and retracts with ease. Excellent condition throughout.
