This building was erected in 1887 to a design by William Wardell for the ES & A (English, Scottish and Australia) Chartered Bank, and still stands today. Commonly known as the "The Gothic Bank", it reflects Wardell's architectural strengths in church design, while following Verdon's detailed instructions.
