Charles Ginner, Pond Square, Highgate, 1932 Tie Electra and her brother OrestesBorn in Cannes, France, Charles Ginner (18781952) studied art at the cole des Beaux Arts, Paris. His distinctive use of colour and texture had been inspired by a love of Van Gogh. In 1909 he settled in London and became a prominent member of the Camden Town Group.
