It is best known to Pittsburghers as a concert venue having hosted acts such as Charlie Parker, Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, R. E. M., and many, many more. It was torn down in 1991 and is now a parking lot for a medical center.
