Late 19th-Century English School Portrait Of A Lady With A Fan A Shelf A rather risqué 19th-century miniatureA fine late 19th century English school portrait of a lady with a marabou feather fan. Its an outstanding piece that captures the sitters character with a high degree of skill. The details are sublime and we particularly love the hands which are exquisitely observed. Note how the emphasis is placed upon the fan, which is front and centre. This was a fashion statement during the late 19th century and clearly, the lady was particularly fond of it.
