Intaglio Print - Barn Swallow chick felting foam felting baseshop. Every spring we celebrate the return of the swallows. Each year they reclaim or re built their mud nests in the beams of our barn. We can hear the chirping of the chicks, watch them venture out of the nest, and begin soaring and catching bugs. During the fledgling stage the chicks are awkward and out of proportion, making them look cartoonish. Often they sit on the fence rails in the ban waiting for the parents to feed them.
