私も時折、茶会に用いています。

唐津の陶土は砂粒も混じる荒い砂目で、触れてみると、大地を連想させるナチュラルな感触が伝わってきます。

これは人形になる前のパーツですが、捨ておかれるなかで、人形とは違う存在に近づいていくような気がします。

全体に抽象的な花文、側面には向かい合う人物の彫刻が施されています。石製のオイルランプは、土器と違い丈夫であったため、貴重品であったようです。

本品は、浮造のように木脈があらわになった迫力のある姿をしていますが、両側面には上品な花文が刻まれた銅輪型の手が配してあります。
