2019-01-25 The trigger event doesn't have to specifically refer to creatures. In these cases, the trigger event may also refer to something being put into a graveyard from the battlefield. For example, an ability that triggers whenever an artifact is put into a graveyard from the battlefield would trigger twice if an artifact creature dies while Teysa Karlov is on the battlefield.
When an opponent leads on a Swamp , you expect something disruptive, maybe a Thoughtseize , maybe a fast reanimation setup, but rarely something harmless
It also dumps a handful of cards into the graveyard, which is critical for hard graveyard decks with Narcomoeba, Prized Amalgam, and Creeping Chill as well as softer graveyard decks with delirium or delve synergies
In my eyes it could have done with some better trigger/free card draw as youre already having to color fix and tap out most of the time just to get permanents on board and often times you simply dont have the mana left to cast cards like Abzan Charm or Sultai Charm
As you cast your first instant/sorcery each turn, you can exile a random one from that graveyard of yours and copy it, and then you can keep on copying it as you cast more and more instants and sorceries and exiling more options at random
For now, we'll stick it in the B-tier, although I think it's more likely that I'm underrating it than overrating it
