Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo LP 1972 Don't lose control — digA decade on from its release and Im still vibing Smoke Ring. KVs best in my opinion, with a perfect balance of songs, rockers, and hazy folkie ballads. But maybe more important to me personally was how this album and pouring over the liner notes press photos interviews as a teen opened my ears to a whole lot of other stuff, from John Fahey to Meg Baird, Richie Records, Watery Love, Michael Hurley, and more.
