One of my favourite purchases of this year, an early 19th century glazed chintz panel with pheasants under a fruiting tree. The reverse side has a handstitched crazy patchwork made from silk dress fabrics with hand embroidered decoration. They have been framed in a fine turquoise and black checked dress silk, so charming. This textile would benefit by being stretched, mounted and possible framed in order to preserve it from further wear.
