Capitol Peak Dune two and a half milesCapitol Peak rises 14,137 feet at the head of the Capitol Creek Valley southwest of Aspen one of the Elk Mountains' six fourteeners, the most technical of Colorado's fifty eight. The summit ridge crosses the Knife Edge, a 150 foot section with two thousand foot drops on either side.
