19TH CENTURY FRENCH PROVINCIAL FLOUR BOX Garden rosewood mirror with ebonised interiorA charming and authentic 19th Century French provincial wall mounted farinire or flour box. Hand crafted in pine and richly patinated with age. The front panel is decorated with two navely carved fish, reflecting its traditional use in rural kitchens for flouring fish before cooking. The shaped crest with pierced scrolling detail and original hanging aperture exemplifies rustic folk craftsmanship of the late 19th Century. Brittany, Circa 1870.
