Growing in it's native Australia it can get to a tree but in the UK it will be far slower growing and probably never get beyond a small tree

As it is one of the smaller Restios it makes this an ideal choice for pots and containers as well as the front of a sunny border

It is a great garden plant and good for cut foliage

It produces tall flower spikes with bright pink cup shaped flowers from spring through to autumn

It has leaves that are narrow and linear up to 20mm long

Banksia blechnifolia Size:1Lt Growing in it's native AustraliaThis is one of the ground cover dwarf spreading Banksias which are part of the Protea family. It has horizontal branches and very low growing. It originates from the South West of Perth, Australia. It has dusky red flower heads of 15 20cm tall which are pollinated by native ants. It will grow best in light well drained soils with full sun to partial shade and in the garden situation will grow best with regular watering during the warmer growing months
