A beautiful shawl from the Victorian era, in a striking striped design with lines of intricately woven brocaded patterns in golden yellow, green, electric blue and black. Hand woven in silk and a very fine wool this shawl dates from the mid to late 19th century and is a very generous size in order to accommodate the full hooped crinoline skirts that were fashionable at this time. We are not sure where this shawl originates but think it
