風土：此產區位處香檳區的最南端，距離布根地的夏布利村極為接近，底岩為古老沈積岩「啟莫里階泥灰岩」（Kimmeridgian Marl）。大陸性氣候特性明顯，冬季漫長而寒冷，夏季晝夜溫差大，但因緯度較低整體而言氣溫會略高於其他香檳子產區幾度，葡萄也更容易成熟。此區主要種植黑皮諾，甚至供應了整個香檳產區一半以上的黑皮諾需求。近年許多小農香檳善用風土與葡萄，迅速成為香檳酒迷之間口耳相傳的夢幻名莊。
