A superb used close to good four margin example lettered 'RI', neatly cancelled by a complete strike of the distinctive Manchester "Fishtail" Maltese Cross in black. A stunning example of this rare and attractive postal cancellation. GB Specialised Catalogue No: DS5vi. Because the 2d blue was issued contemporary with the 1d black, it shares the distinction of being one of the world's first two postage stamps.
