The patina is a real nice bright white. Notice the very rounded nose & the cavity is a small plug truncated cone. Measures about 0. 53 x 0. 895 inches. Thomas lists as a RBRF#4 293 Vicksburg rifle. A Vicksburg rifle is a Kentucky long rifle rebored to a 0. 54 caliber. A good shooter but they did not hold up well.
