These unfortunately also cause unavoidable scratching in the final polish but they also add a rainbow sheen when viewed from the right angle

revealing mini 'geodes' filled with ruby microcrystals

so you won't see any fluorescence under longwave UV (though the pale green/white under shortwave is still present)
