The panel looks as though it has never been used and the yellow silk lining is as vivid today as it was when it was first made

interspersed with smaller blooms in peaches and blues with delicate

mounted and framed

possibly from the Stroud woollen mills

We have four of these shades made using what was once the border of a round table cover, the centre of which had long since perished. Dating from the 19th century and made in Britain the needlepoint embroidery is exquisite. Depicting spring flowers, tulips, roses & morning glories amongst others the flowers have been worked in pretty pastels which contrasts beautifully against the old gold
