Onna-Musha Collage Series #1 Square and established him as one33 x 33 cm Analog collage, framed in raw oak, behind glass. Onna Musha were members of the bushi (warrior) class in pre modern Japan. Many fought in battle alongside Samurai men. Their existence was unique as women were constrained to a rigid social caste in feudal Japan. This series is a continuation of my love of the skilled martial arts as well as honouring the empowerment of women. These works represent the Onna Musha in all of us.
