JPN: Noragi by Sadako Fukui AUG2017 Product #: TSS12-#8This book by Sadako Fukui explains the history of Noragi, Japanese workwear traditionally used by farmers. Fukui aims to provide a record of about a hundred years of the craft, from the beginning of the Meiji era to 1965. To make Noragi, a single kimono can be remade and thickened by sewing together rags and being reinforced with stitching. Over a lifetime, as clothes get worn down and damaged through hard work, they gain new life as they are remade.
