The three types of booster were introduced last year alongside the Throne of Eldraine set, replacing the classic Magic: The Gathering card pack that had been the only type of booster since the games launch in 1993
It's refreshing to see such a fun and flavorful card with powerful effects that enables an unexplored archetype to flourish
It costs no mana to play but adds three mana of any color to your pool, so its a great shortcut to casting powerful spells early in the game
While some cards that were printed in this set remain problematic faves, such as Skullclamp, Necropotence, and Berserk, others might make mages scratch their head and wonder why they were ever thought to be too powerful, such as Serendib Efreet, Kird Ape and Gifts Ungiven
Sorry you couldn't be higher
This collection not only features reprints of classic cards but also introduces new gameplay mechanics that enhance the strategy of the game
