The card's design is pushing Izzet colors if you want a Room-centric deck (at least for now), which is instantly a departure from the usual instant/sorcery focus we're accustomed to seeing
A lot of the effects are symmetrical (Braids, Gate to the Aether, Horn of Greed) but I 1) hope that having better card selection through Arjun will let me take better advantage of them and 2) I will bust this deck out when it's time for a big fun swingy (and possibly quick) game of EDH.
The second lies in the fact that the two cards used as Fusion Materials are the Yubel card as well as the Elemental Hero Neos card which Jaden often summoned throughout the series, making this card something of a microcosm of Jaden and Yubels relationship
While the bulk of Pearl-Ear deck will be made up by staples like All That Glitters and Idolized, that means we can take advantage of some costlier spells and not feel bad about running them
