His ability isn't exactly unheard of as far as attacking creatures go but as far as I know the blocking portion he brings to the table is pretty unique

By this point, everyone knows about Grixis Shadow, as the deck has been around for a number of years
Still, thats better than nothing, and its nice that both halves are uncommon
