Youve also got a bunch of evasive threats to go along with this
Blessed Orator, Lashknife Barrier, Diversionary Tactics, and Worship combine with Squirrels to stall most opposing creature-based strategies so that you can set up something tricky later in the game (something involving Phyrexian Altar or Test of Endurance, perhaps?)
It is a lovely compliment to Rishidan Port and/or Wastelands but in red deck wins would rarely be used in combination with any more land destruction and would never be used without the good shot at getting two bonus damage through
