They do come with a very reasonable penalty in both tempo and vulnerability however as we are finding with Chrome Mox and Vampiric Tutor, no drawback is as bad as being mana screwed

In practice this is an overly narrow card for how much extra utility it brings over the highly playable Last Gasp

Same with Throat Slitter, although the cheap activation cost makes using it attractive

It's notoriously difficult to track sometimes, but it can also just end the game immediately and prevent having to do too much math

Unfortunately the card does miss on non-Legendary Creatures though, which contributes to why it isnt higher on the list
