I find that CGC does the best job at information delivery because they allow enough real estate to designate the card properly, their Pristine label is aesthetically pleasing and their normal label does an as good a job at information delivery but is (purposefully) less aesthetic than the Pristine label for obvious reasons

As always, the first mulligan is certainly something you can overcome in a dynamic longer game

The second knock is that Alena relies on either a steady flow of creature token generation, or a big turn with a flurry of cards for which some of your best cards are Ball Lightning, Bonecrusher Giant has more power than mana cost, and Cosmic Larva has a real drawback
