Ive heard some grumblings from the optimized Commander deck crowd that eight mana is way too expensive to consider this as a Commander in 2023, but as someone whos got a Piru, the Volatile deck and a deck built around The Tarrasque, I dont subscribe to that philosophy
It has great synergy with creatures and counters, so Id expect it to do some crazy things

Death Toll concerns itself with ensuring as many card types are in its graveyard as possible, so odds are Deluge of Doom will wind up a -4/-4 or even a -5/-5 by the time you want to play it
