First, you'll get two potentially huge free spells from the cascade triggers
For example, if youre building a deck around Urza, Lord High Artificer, you probably want a ton of cheap artifact creatures you can tap for mana, and then big heavy hitters you can cast with his second ability and all of that mana you generate
Virulent Sliver is probably the worst card in the deck, but it at least gives me an out to somebody who can keep me from comboing and can gain infinite life
If you draw a low-cost sliver and have a lot of mana spare, plugging it all into this effect can give you a load of bodies, ready to receive whatever buff your other slivers can provide them
