Her base power of 2/2 isnt very imposing, but combined with some auras and equipment, and her innate trample ability, it becomes a force to be reckoned with

I have a feeling they originally designed Aminatou to be all about topdeck manipulation but then realized there weren't enough cards in Magic to make an entire deck around it and didn't have enough space in the product to properly support this new archetype with new cards (think Feline Ferocity 's problem last year) so they just filled in the gaps by adding the ETB theme
