Let's face it dragon support and payoffs are good, and free mana even on turns 3 or 4 is still really good
That said, there isnt a control deck out there that should leave home without three copies of Aether Gust, with some in the maindeck, in order to defeat the top three decks of the format.
Notably, Priest of Forgotten Gods is a card that you can activate repeatedly to take over a game, giving the deck a powerful engine to build around that doesnt require any focus on the combat phase
