What makes this red creature so good is that you get to deal damage to any target based on the power of your creatures that enter play, and you can use it to control the board or just combo-kill your opponent faster
It's arguably one of the best cards for Type Four from the set (Rules are - infinite mana but just one spell per turn so counters are good there since they cannot be overwhelmed by casting more spells than you have mana, and a five cost counter is first turn able there)
It also can do it cheaply for only R mana
It wasnt very good in an environment where creatures were hardly played and even if they were, your opponents would probably just take the cards anyway
I loved it so much in standard that I would sometimes forget that it is legendary
2 Masterpiece Vault Fancy Artifacts Ripe For The Taking Certainly a card made more for Brawl than Alchemy, Masterpiece Vault is a three-mana artifact that gives you a fancy version of a very strong piece of equipment when it is put into the graveyard, though two are certainly worse than the others
