General discussion, hobby triple January 17, 2026, 3:41am 1 Pokmon feels like they are starting to optimize how much they print and how sets are being built as well as pull rates Some sets are clearly bigger/smaller than they should be, other sets have no business having horrendous pull rates (Prismatic Evolutions / Evolving Skies / Fusion Strike) and modern packs feel like Japanese RPG style Gachapon where you either get the card you want or its bulk
(mostly because I didn't even know there was such a thing as standard, much less cared to play it!) Fastbond was kind of too good for vintage though (and still is!), so it got the axe

Of note, and to go back on the example I was just using, playing EE for X = 0 not only takes care of any and all Food tokens that The Underworld Cookbook could have created but it also takes Asmo along for the ride - which definitely comes in handy
