My favorite part about this play-test card is it's Wizards of the Coast acknowledging their templating gaffe

The rules for layers are notoriously tricky, but in almost all cases you apply the copy effect BEFORE other stat changes, meaning lingering buffs from triggers will boost its new power too

Ive put decks together for them a few times recently, but since I dont play tournaments in either format regularly

What do you think about these decks

Despark is not a very exciting reprint, but it is a decent removal piece in Commander

If your only cunning opponent controls Runed Halo with Gifts Ungiven chosen for it, or controls Leyline of Sanctity and/or similar cards, you cannot cast Gifts Ungiven, since you cannot target your opponent with that spell, and you may not target yourself
